This site is for general information. It does not provide consultations, and nothing here is an offer of treatment.
If you live in Japan
If a joint problem — a painful knee or hip, a ligament injury, arthritis — is limiting you, the author's practice site explains, in English, how to arrange an orthopedic consultation in Tokyo, what to bring and how billing works.

If you are considering treatment in Japan
Japan regulates regenerative treatments, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and related injections, under a dedicated national law; clinics must file a treatment plan before offering them. Some of these treatments involve a blood draw and a second visit, so they need planning around the length of your stay.
The author's practice page explains the options, what the evidence shows, costs and risks.

Before you decide
- Read the evidence first. Our articles grade each claim from A to D, including for treatments that are popular or expensive.
- Bring your imaging and reports. Recent X-rays or MRI scans, on disc or as files, make a first visit far more useful.
- Ask about follow-up. Some treatments need more than one visit or rehabilitation afterwards.
